The Left keeps harping on why did Trump clear the room…likely due to the big deal Comey made while talking with Senator Heinrich (Dem, NM about 1:26:00 into testimony).
After Comey’s testimony, it’s now clear why:
Comey testified that Trump said he wanted the Russian investigation to continue AND it would be good to find out if anyone around him was bad or involved. That’s a difficult thing to tell the FBI director if you have any of your people in the room as it might cause hurt feelings or riffs to have to look at a member of your team and say to their face “Yes, that includes you too”. Comey testimony now perfectly explains why the room was cleared !!
